Brandon 3 continued his trek through the forest, until he spotted a glint of something shiny at his feet. Reaching down, he pulled what looked like piece of a large green gem from the foliage.
"Huh. Looks like a piece of the master emerald," he said. "I wonder if there are any other bits of it strewn about..."
As he set about his search, Brandon paid no mind as his hair began growing longer, forming itself into dreadlocks.
Brandon 2 groaned as the deciphering machine sputtered and died. "Great, looks like I'll need to fix it before it can work," he said, looking around for the tools to go about the task. He remained as unaware as ever as his shoes began to grow longer, creeping up his legs just as they had for the original Brandon.
Brandon 4 stopped to catch his breath, panting as he glanced out of his hiding place to see if he had eluded his pursuers. After making sure the robots had lost him, Brandon took a moment to relax.
"Well, this is odd. The Sonic games have more than one space station, so maybe I should figure out which exactly I'm on," he decides, his eyes turning a vibrant green as he speaks.
The shopkeeper wasn't sure how he was going to deal with the Brandons. They seemed to be turning into familiar characters from the Sonic games, but something was different. Something was wrong. And what had happened to the original? None of the people who had previously changed into characters from video games or cartoons had gone dark after they had finished changing- or before as the case may be.
"My, don't you look positively frantic?" a familiar voice said behind the shopkeeper. With a growing sense of dread, the man turned to face whoever had just spoken.
