Roger threw on his dress shirt, not even noticing that it was slightly darker in color, and the fabric was a bit more sheer. He also didn't notice that he'd lost a bit of height and weight.
He came down the stairs just in time to see Zoe throw her book bag on the floor. She nearly collided with her father on her way up the stairs.
"Woah there," Roger said, "You're in quite the hurry."
"I just wanna go to my room, dad. It's been a long day and... what's up with your hair?" she asked, noticing it was lighter, and longer.
"What do you mean?" he asked, running a hand through his slightly damp hair.
"Did you dye it or something?"
"Of course not. What a silly question."
Zoe rolled his eyes and continued up to her room, slamming the door. A second later, Roger could hear the thrash of Scandanavian Metal through the door. He sighed. Zoe had become so dark and depressive. She needed to be more upbeat. Wear brighter colors.
There's nothing wrong with wearing a little pink once in a while, Roger thought. Maybe he could take her shopping, get her a tan. Getting a tan always made him happy... didn't it? Roger suddenly felt a bit confused. Then he felt an odd sensation building inside of him.
"AAAHHH-CHOOO!!!" he sneezed loudly, though Zoe probably still didn't hear him. He sniffled a bit. Roger hoped he wasn't coming down with something, but after a second he felt totally fine again. Deciding to put his mind to other things, he took a seat on the couch to watch TV, not noticing he had to hold the remote a bit differently thanks to the gaudy silver rings he was now wearing.
