Jon looked down at Athena with contempt. She was already a Goth, so how did she not see how important it was for Nadine to continue her "quest" to turn everyone else into Goths as well? Didn't Athena feel the need to be understood? To be liked by other people, without changing herself to please potential friends? It made Jon feel sick, knowing that Athena looked like a Goth, but just didn't get what it was all about.
Athena grunted, then slowly opened her eyes. Then, upon seeing the new Goth Jon, her face fell.
"You fucking traitor," Jon spat at her. "How dare you try to stop Nadine's Goth movement."
"Forget about her," Nadine said, pulling Jon with her and walking into the crowd of changed students. "There are still more people to be changed. You can help me track them down."
Jon smiled. "I'll do whatever I can to help."
After Jon left with Nadine, Athena struggled to get to her feet. She had to figure out how to put an end to this insanity.
