Suddenly, the young woman's face scrunched. "Who are you?"
"I ... I'm ..." His eyes opened wide at the sound of his voice, which was definitely not his.
"I know you're not my master," she said. "So who are you?"
"Who are you?" he asked.
"I'm Dannie, my master's apprentice." She looked like she was concentrating for a moment. "Your name is ... James."
