When the old man finally arrived to the strip club, he got out of his car in a rush, leaving his briefcase behind. He bursted through the front door, searching for anyone in sight. But the place seemed empty ... and very quiet. What happened to the thumping music that was there earlier?
Seeing no other obvious exit, the old man stepped up onto the stage and went behind the curtain. This led him to the changing rooms, which were also completely empty. Where was everyone?
He kept walking down the hall until he heard a voice. He stopped suddenly to hear what the voice was saying and where it was coming from. He identified it as Larry Vaughn's voice and it seemed to be coming from one of the next rooms down the hall. What chilled him was what Larry was saying.
"Gloria? Can you hear me?" Larry asked, from one of the rooms.
"Yes," a woman said. It was very faint, but that was attributed to the fact that she sounded drowsy.
The old man knew what was happening. Larry was using his conditioning chemical. He must have been the one that stole it.
He pinpointed exactly which room Larry and this Gloria woman were in, and he was about to walk inside. But then he thought that maybe he should just burst in suddenly, take them by surprise. It might throw them off and give him a chance to grab the spray bottle without having to resort to violence. Truth be told, he didn't think he could fight the guy, being as old as he was, but he'd try nonetheless. That chemical was his and he wanted it back.
The old man took a deep breath, gently turned the door knob so no one would notice, then violently swung the door open and dashed inside.
