Jon closed his eyes as the pad began to hum. Static filled the air and he could feel the hairs on his arms standing on end. Suddenly there was a thunderclap and then silence. Cautiously he opened his eyes and looked around, amazed at what he saw. The auditorium was filled with what looked like a two page splash panel from a comic book. Gawping he stared in amazement.
"Welcome to Superhero High Mr Madison," smiled a man he assumed was the principal, "if you'd be so kind as to step off the pad so your classmate can join us. Feel free to check your new body out while you wait."
Jon nodded and stepped off the pad. Taking a deep breath he looked down at his new body.
