Jon gulped and stepped onto the pad. It started to hum and glow and suddenly there was a flash. Disorientated Jon staggered forwards which was made difficult by the heels in his new shoes. A teacher reached out and helped him down. Rubbing his eyes he turned to see a girl stepping up onto the pad. She was dressed in a blue blazer, black skirt and white blouse with a blue and yellow tie which matched the crest on the blazer pocket. As the pad charged up, he glanced around taking in his new surroundings. As the pad flashed he realised there were no guys around.
With a gulp he looked down and whimpered.
"Don't worry you'll feel better soon Melissa," said the teacher patting his shoulder.
"My names not Melissa," he said "My name is...is..." He paused, stunned. He knew he had been a guy before stepping on the pad, and he had all those memories, but he couldn't remember his name. The only name he could think of as being his was Melissa.
The teacher smiled and patted his shoulder. "It's part of the transfer sequence. No one knows why but names don't transfer."
Jon sighed and looked up at the second girl wondering if she was his friend or the cheerleader. He blinked, suprised their names were blank. He could put the name Lisa to the mousey looking geeky girl in front of him, but couldn't recall who he'd come with.
