Rosaria's wish could be granted in several different ways. There was no outward indication of what had changed, so Bethany quickly grabbed the stone from Rosaria's hand.
"What did you do?" she asked. "That was a very careless wish, it could be granted any number of ways, some of which might affect many other people.
"I, um, I wasn't thinking, I just said what was in my heart, I'm sorry," Rosaria stammered.
Bethany held up the stone and stated "I wish to know just how Rosaria's wish was granted." The stone burned bright once more, and suddenly Bethany knew that the deportation bus that Karyn had been on was attacked by Mexican drug gangs, and Karyn had been hit and killed by a bullet during the attack. Rosaria's original body was dead, and thus she could never switch back...
"Rosaria, you just killed someone!" Bethany exclaimed.
