Jon and Karyn sat in the back of their class. Luckily, it was study period, so they could talk.
"Karyn, I think I may have an idea of what my wish did..." Jon said quietly.
"Really? What was it?" Karyn asked.
"I think it may have had something to do with Steve Farber..." Jon said.
Karyn gave Jon a curious look. "Jon, there is no Steve Farber. There's Stacy Farber, and Steve Harker used to go here, but he moved." she said.
"Yeah, that's how everyone remembers it." Jon said. "But I think the wish may have done something to change peoples memories."
"Can it really do that? I mean, after the initial wish. And why would you be unaffected?" Karyn asked.
"Maybe it's because I made the initial wish." Jon said. "In any case, I think that whatever's going on is centered around room 21. That's where Steve was called to this morning."
"So, what are you going to do?" Karyn asked.
"I don't know. For now I think it would be best to see what happens. Maybe I'll talk to Ste...Stacy later." Jon said.
"What if she doesn't even remember anything?" Karyn asked. "She didn't hear the wish, after all."
"I don't know. If she doesn't remember, maybe it would be best to leave things as thay are now..." Jon said.
"Jon!" Karyn yelled, attracting the attention of several of the other students. She calmed herself down and waited until everyone went back to what they were doing before continuing. "Jon, if you can fix this whole situation with the stone, you should. Regardless of if the person affected remembers the old life or not."
"I suppose you're right." Jon said. The bell rang, and everyone stood up and began heading to their next class. "My next class, I should have it with Stacy. I can try to talk to her there."
"All right, let me know how things go." Karyn says. "I'll see you at lunch." Jon and Karyn then parted ways, heading to their respective classes.
Time to get to the bottom of this... Jon thought.
