It was Gladys Brewer. Sarah had seen her around school, but had never deigned to learn the name of the fattest girl in her grade. Gladys hadn't been a person to Sarah. Just a nameless thing. That perception would soon change.
Sarah locked eyes with Gladys, and suddenly felt...something. Then her mind went completely blank.
