Sarah did her best to get away, but as soon as she left the room, she ran straight into a burly man in white clothes. He grabbed her and held her still, as the doctor injected her with a sedative.
The next few moments were kind of a blur for her. The burly man and the doctor escorted her through the hospital until they entered an operation room at the far end of the hall. It looked isolated from the rest of the building.
Inside the room was an odd-looking contraption, connected to two examination tables. And on one of the tables was that freaky Goth girl Zoe Gibson. As Sarah was taken towards the other table, Zoe smiled at her.
Sarah wanted to run. It horrified her that she was going to be getting this freak's memories (all or some, it didn't matter) and she couldn't do one thing to stop it. And on top of that, Zoe seemed to be getting a kick out of this, as if it were some kind of vengeance.
Sarah squirmed a bit, as she was strapped down to the examination table.
"I think the sedative is wearing off," the burly man said.
"That's okay," the doctor said. "We're ready to begin." He reached for a lever that was protruding from the machine, and then he pulled it.
And for Sarah, everything went black.
