"What does that mean?" Sarah asked.
The doctor looked oddly at Sarah. "All of this was explained to you when you were brought in. Perhaps you didn't understand what was said. I'll try to dumb it down for you."
Sarah clenched her teeth in anger. This guy was really starting to piss her off. Who did he think he was? No called Sarah McMillan dumb and got away with it. And the reason she didn't know what was going on was because she didn't remember even coming to the hospital!
"We're going to add someone else's memories to your mind," the doctor explained. "This way, it will increase your intelligence level."
"What?" Sarah asked. Now her anger was replaced by shock and disbelief.
"That's right. We have a new experimental way to copy the mind of one person and add it into another person's brain. The average person only uses about ten percent of their brain anyway. There's plenty of room in there for more."
"You're going to turn me into two people?" Sarah asked.
"No, no. The device can theoretically do that. But all we're going to do is take select memories from someone and add them into you."
Sarah didn't like the sound of this. She liked her mind exactly the way it was.
"Whose memories are you giving me?"
"That's an odd thing, you know. Once it became known that you were going through with this procedure, dozens of people from your own school volunteered. All of them have the necessary qualifications, so we just chose one of them randomly."
"Well, who is it?" Sarah asked, getting impatient. "Whose memories am I getting?"
"You're getting memories from ..."
