When Sarah finally arrived at the school, she met up with her friends Tiffany Sanders and Melissa Smith, two girls who were also on the cheerleading squad with her.
"Hey, girls," Sarah said. "Sorry I'm a little late, but ..."
The two girls turned around and Sarah saw that they weren't Tiffany and Melissa, even though from far away they looked like them. The one who she thought was Tiffany was dressed in an outfit that Sarah knew Tiffany had. Even her hair color and style were the same. And the same was true for the one Sarah thought was Melissa.
But they weren't her friends. They were both someone else.
