Melissa Smith, one of Sarah's closest friends, turned a corner and was startled by Sarah's bizarre appearance. She looked like one of those Goth freaks.
"Sarah, what the hell are you wearing?" Melissa asked.
Sarah looked back at her in shock and disgust. "What am I wearing? What are you wearing?"
In Goth Sarah's native reality, all her friends were Goths. In fact, all the people in this reality who were preps and jocks were Goths in her reality, and all the people who were Goths in this reality were preps and jocks in her reality.
So, seeing Melissa the way she now looked was just as bizarre for Sarah as seeing Sarah was for Melissa.
