After opening the door, Jon saw that the person standing outside was his mom. She had two bags of groceries in her arms.
"Thanks, Jon," she said. "I couldn't get my keys out."
"No problem." He stepped back, allowing his mother to walk in, and then he closed the door behind her.
She walked into the kitchen and put the bags down on the table. Then she turned around and gave Jon the shock of his life. He didn't notice when she came in, because the grocery bags were in the way.
