As it is with teenagers Brandon continued to tease Jon mercilessly about being spooked out by a little girl. Though as the conversation went on he seemed to ease off a little, which Jon thought was a little odd as Brandon never usually ends a joke until long after it's stopped being funny.
"I gotta go piss, I drank like a gallon of soda it's so hot today and it feels like I gonna fucking burst", Jon said as he headed for the door and across the hallway to the bathroom.
"Language kiddo, don't let your mom hear you talking like that, you know she doesn't like it", Brandon said matter of factly.
Jon chuckled a little thinking it sounded like a perfect impression of his dad, but Brandon didn't say anything. As Jon took a leak he thought back to his meeting with little Stacey and shivered 'wanna play dollies' 'wanna play house' he remembered her saying 'you can be the daddy' 'you'll be sorrrryy'. He almost swore he could hear her as he thought about those words.
After finishing up in the bathroom, Jon went back to Brandons room, but he wasn't there. He found him in the lounge downstairs, but he gasped when he saw him, it was still Brandon, but he looked so different, so much older, he had bulked out a bit and now looked to be in his mid to late 30's.
"Bu....but..Brandon...we where upstairs and talking about the new neighbors and their creepy little girl and what....." Jon stammmered, dumfounded by what had happened to his best friend.
"What are you mumbling about son, which new neighbors, they're all new to us we've only just moved in and I don't recall any having a little girl. Just one with the goth teen and a young boy. And anyway I've told you about calling me by my first name, it's not right Jon, I am your father. Call me dad please".
Jon wandered away confused, heading for Brandons room. What the hell is this wish doing, he wondered to himself. As he passed a family photo he paused, huh he puzzled Brandon's hair is blond in this one, he looked at a few others that were up on the wall, he was in all of them and he looked different more slender and smaller than his usual self.
Jon jumped as he though the last picture moved, but he quickly came to the realisation it was a mirror and that somehow, he was this new alternate Brandon and that Brandon was now his dad. How could things possibly get worse, what else would change? Would anyone else remember him, the old him? The more Jon thought about it the more afraid he became.
