Jon figured that the best way to meet his new neighbors was just to walk up to them and introduce himself. So, that's exactly what he did.
"Hi," he said, walking over to them.
The woman smiled at him, while her daughter rolled her eyes. It was obvious that she wanted to be somewhere else. Jon's sister Zoe would get along great with her. Although, he wasn't sure how his sister would react to this girl's nakedness.
"Do you live next door?" the woman asked.
"Yeah. That one right there," Jon said, pointing at his house.
She nodded.
"I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood," Jon said. His eyes accidentally moved down to the woman's exposed breasts and stayed there for a second, before darting back up to her face. But, oddly, she made no notice of it. Maybe she liked people staring at her body?
"That's sweet of you," she said. "Would you care for something to drink? Maybe some lemonade or a soda?"
Jon wondered if it was a good idea to take her up on her offer. It would be a good way to get to know his new neighbors. But then again, considering their less-than-socially-accepted lifestyle, maybe he should take it a little slower and learn about them behind their backs (maybe even with the stone), before going inside their house. After all, they were complete strangers.
