Jon mind was racing. After wishing for something interesting to happen, a family of witches arrives next door.
How interesting had the world become? Was magic commonplace? Were witches and warlocks a significant minority, or very rare?
Jon also was wondering about the irony that a family of witches arrived within 100 feet of his house, just shortly after he came into the possession of an incredibly powerful artifact.
However, while Jon's mind considered all of these things, he also had the more immediately pressing issue of a cute, albeit green skinned, girl asking him to go and hang out with him. Should he invite her into his house? Up to his room? How would his mom react to that?
Should he call Karyn? What would she think of Jon's new friend? Does she even know that witches exist in this world?
With Cinder looking at him, Jon decides to tell her that they should.....
