Jon slowly made his way down the hall towards "his" room, then peeked inside. By now, there were only two people in the room - Dr. Mitchell and the nurse who informed him that Jon was in a coma again. Jon listened in.
"This may only be a small setback. I'll be in my office going over his chart," Dr. Mitchell said.
"Yes, Doctor," said the nurse, nodding.
Then Dr. Mitchell left the room, almost knocking into Jon. "Oh, Nurse Williams. I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." Then he continued his way down the hall.
Jon stood in the doorway, looking at his comatose body. The nurse in the room turned and looked at him. "Susan? Can I help you with something?"
"Uh ... no. I was just ..." Looking at my body, Jon finished in his head. It looked like he was asleep. But he was breathing, so he definitely wasn't dead. If he could figure out how this astral projecting happened, maybe he could reverse it and re-enter his own body. If his body was dead, then he'd be out of luck. He'd be stuck at Susan Williams, probably for the rest of his life. Sure, Nurse Williams was pretty hot, but he didn't want to spend the rest of his life in her body.
The nurse walked over to Jon. "Are you okay, Susan? You don't look so well."
"I'm okay. Really," Jon said. He couldn't let anyone know that he wasn't Susan. Who knew what they would do to him if they ever found out that he was actually Jon Everett possessing the body of one of the hospital's nurses?
