((Took inspiration from the neighboring branches for this one.))

"Well," Jon paused long enough to watch with amusement as Zoe's anticipation soured. With a calculated timing, he shook his head, and backtracked. "Are you sure you want to go through with this? You seem to be doing alright as a goth."

Shock appeared on Zoe's face only to be swallowed up by red faced rage a second later. "The Fucking Hell I am! Do you have any idea how tight this fucking Corset is!" she snapped.

Jon held up his hands and cast his eyes down to placate her, but wore a patronizing smirk. "Alright, alright. Take it easy. I just wasn't sure if you'd want to go through with it." Jon turned his gaze back to Zoe. The smirk remained. "Since you seem to have such an issue with that corset, how about... if you lose, you gain 50, but the corset stays the same size?"

"What!" Zoe shouted. She immediately withdrew and seethed silently, but didn't object. Already the calculations were ticking through her mind.

"You're what? around 120 pounds?, so that's..." He quickly did the math in his head. ", only 170 pounds." he declared with mock optimism. "That's not so bad."

"I'm not doing this one forever." Zoe stated. "A week tops."

"Nope, as long as you're goth" He leaned back smugly.

"Or another bet." Zoe insisted.

"Alright. Fine. Or, until another bet." Jon relented.

"So." Zoe said through clenched teeth. "What's the competition?"

Jon shook his head. "Let's keep it simple. The flip of a coin." He pulled a quarter out of his pocket, and held it up between them.

Zoe nodded. "Do it." She insisted, "Quick, before I change my mind."

Jon made a show of holding the coin up and examining it in the light, watching out of the side of his eye as Zoe fumed. If her face weren't caked in powdery white makeup, he had little doubt she'd be turning red.

"Would you toss the fucking coin already?"

"Wow. You're an angry goth." Jon quipped.

Zoe growled her frustration.

"I thought Goth's were all sad, or something."

Zoe cut in quickly "One that's emo. And Two," She emphasized each of the following words. "Flip. The. Coin."

"I feel like we need to figure this out first." Jon laughed. "Goth's are..."

Zoe plunged over the table and snatched the quarter from Jon's hand. "...sick of the worlds bullshit, you asshole." She finished his sentence. In one swift movement, she righted herself and flipped the coin. It flew astray, and too far for her to catch. With a ping it struck the table, then bounced off the edge and rolled into the dust under a nearby counter.

Jon simply leaned over to look, while Zoe plodded as quickly as her boots would allow to get a better look...
