Jon pulled the stone out of his pocket and quickly said "I wish I had the ability to stop time." Maybe if he could take the man's flutes, he could beat him.

The stone glowed, presumably having granted his wish, but Jon felt no different. He tried to concentrate on freezing time, but nothing happened. Jon's former family members began pounding on the door.

Worried that the man had somehow prevented his wishes from working, Jon said "I wish I knew if my last wish worked." The stone gave him the knowledge that his wish did work, and he could now freeze time. He just didn't know how...

Jon fell, his stone slipping out of his hands and sliding to the end of the hall. Jon kicked the man off him and ran after it, but the man was quickly on his feet, and pulled Jon back. Jon was knocked against the wall. The man ran after Jon's stone and picked it up.

"Yes!" he exclaimed. "I have your stone! You can't use magic against me now."
But, Jon noticed the man's flute lying next to him. He picked it up, but was not sure how it worked.

Jon had no idea what he should do, but had to make a decision.
He decided to...
