The stone morphed into a girl Jon's age. She was naked and suddenly seemed to notice Jon's presence. In a panic, she tried to cover herself with her hands and back away from Jon.
Jon tried to approach and tell her to calm down, but it only made things worse. The girl looked behind her at the door and yelled "Get away, Jon, I'm naked!"
"I didn't mean that," thought Jon. He reached out for the girl, touching her hair, since she was after all the stone transformed, and he needed to make a wish. He didn't think about how the girl might react.
But strangely enough, when he had merely approached the girl, she was panicked, as might be expected of a naked girl approached by a guy. But when he reached out with the intention of wishing, she did nothing. She didn't even seem aware that he was trying to touch her.
"I wish this girl is wearing clothes," said Jon. The girl was instantly clothed. She also instantly calmed down, as if she was wearing clothes all along--she didn't recognize that anything had just happened to her.
So, thought Jon, the wish really worked. The stone was a girl. If he tried to touch her normally, she acted like any girl being touched. But if he tried to touch her to make a wish, she didn't notice it. Jon guessed that since she didn't notice him touching her to make a wish, that's why she didn't notice the wish itself.
But now there was this girl who didn't exist before except as a rock... and reality has been changed so everyone remembers her. She knew a complete life that was just made up a second ago. Exactly who was she?
Jon reached to touch her hand, and said "I wish I knew who you're supposed to be."
