A little dizzy, Jon looked up and saw what looked like a translucent formless entity. It swirled around in the air, leaving destruction in its wake.
Jon shook his head to clear it, then got up and backed away. The entity gained a red hue and seemed to rise further up into the air. Then it seemed to nose dive into the ground, requiring Jon to run out of the way. He waited for it to come back out of the ground, but it didn't. When he thought it was safe, he ran to his grandfather, who was definitely in need of help.
"I saw him go in there," Karyn said.
"There's no way he could have done it," Zoe said, pulling on the locked door once again. "See?"
"I know what I saw. He went in and then he disappeared."
"Well, there's no way for us to get in, unless you can find someone strong enough to take out that door." Zoe saw Karyn's eyes light up. "What?"
Karyn ran away, then about a minute later came back driving the car.
"Get in," she told Zoe and Sarah.
"What are you thinking?" Zoe asked, as Karyn placed the car perpendicular to the building. "No way. You're not."
"Yes. I am." Karyn drove the car straight towards the building and through the front, sending pieces of the windows and the door flying in every direction.
