Jon looked down at the others. "Are you guys all right?"
"You mean girls, right?" Karyn said, trying hard to lift herself off the ground.
"Uh, yeah. That's what I meant. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
Zoe and Sarah got up and looked at each other.
Sarah found herself actually liking Zoe now. She didn't mind her being a Goth. In fact, she kind of liked it.
Zoe looked down at herself. She had her own body back, but she was still a Goth. Those same feelings of resenting being a Goth girl, that she had when she was in Sarah's body, were still there. She looked up at Sarah, envying her. Zoe wanted to be a popular girl like Sarah, but she knew it would be impossible.
Apparently, being merged together had a lasting effect on the both of them.
"I'm okay," Sarah said.
"Me too," Zoe said.
"So, what do we do now?" Karyn asked.
"Let's look at the map," he said.
"It's in the car," Zoe said.
So, they walked back to the car to get the map.
