"Jon?"
Jon sat up. "Zoe? Is that you?"
She walked into the room and sat on the bed. "Yeah, it's me. Are you okay?"
"What? You mean this?" he said, pointing to the bandage on his head. "Nah, I'm fine. Maybe a little dizzy now and then, but fine."
"Actually, I meant that," she pointed at the pink T-shirt that he was wearing.
"I'm only wearing it out of necessity. Really."
"So, what do you think is going on?" she asked.
"I really have no idea."
"Well, I do."
"Really? What do you think is happening?" Jon was curious about what she thought of all of this.
"I think we're in a magical realm. And that we've been chosen for a very important task."
"Magical realm, huh?"
"What? It makes sense."
"If you say so." Of course, Jon didn't dismiss the idea. He, for one, did believe in magic, thanks to the wishing stone. But Jon had a feeling that something else was going on. He kept thinking about that metal grate that he discovered in the ground. That wouldn't be something that you'd find in a magical realm. Would it?
Jon picked up the map that was sent to him. "Here, take a look at this. Maybe you could figure it out. I'm too tired to think about it. I need some sleep." He looked at Zoe. "I'm glad you're okay." Jon and Zoe never really got along too well. They didn't hate each other, it's just that they had completely different lives. But he was glad that she was there with him.
"Okay, I'll take a look." She picked up the map and went back to the main room, leaving Jon resting on the bed.
