Jean turned and saw Tim Brant, a friend of both Jon and Karyn.
"Hi, Tim," Jean said. Her voice sounded like Jon's, only more feminine.
"So, did you bring it?" he asked.
Jean looked confused. "Bring what?"
"The wishing stone, of course. I was thinking all last night about what to wish for."
Now Jean was really confused. How did Tim know about the stone? Could it be that in this new reality she told Tim about it, since Karyn didn't exist? It was quite possible.
"Come on, Jean. I know you've got it. You wouldn't leave something like that at home. So, where is it?" Tim asked.
