"What happened to the cheerleaders? I didn't see any around here," Zoe asked Sarah. The only way to really know was to ask.
"Cheerleaders? Why would there be cheerleaders at a school?"
"Well, for football games, of course."
"Football? No one plays football here. Or any sports, for that matter. Zoe, are you sure you're okay? You seem to be acting weird," Sarah said.
No sports? Zoe thought. Then what happened to the jocks?
The answer to her unspoken question was revealed when she saw Biff Meadows (football captain and Sarah's boyfriend) walking down the hall. He was a Goth. Pale complexion, long black-dyed hair, dark make-up, spiked collar, nylon shirt, long black leather skirt, and black boots. The "normal" Biff wouldn't have been caught dead looking like that, but this Biff didn't seem to mind at all.
Why are Biff and Sarah and her friends all Goths now? she thought. But it didn't take too much time to figure out that it was because of the wording of her wish. She wished that it was popular to be a Goth, so her wish changed all of the most popular people at the school (cheerleaders and jocks) into Goths.
"Hey, Sarah," Biff said, then they kissed.
