Karyn slowly slinked upstairs to her room. Making sure her parents were not home. Locking her bedroom door behind, she slowly makes her way over to her dressers mirror. Small tears form in her eyes as she looks at the slight stuble covering her face. Not even fur, just hair and already feeling so much less human.
Turning Karyn heads over to her bed. Rummaging through her purse, she can't find the meter.
"Oh no, Jon has the meter!"
Without the small meter, Karyn's worry increases, rushing back to the mirror she tries to spot if anything has changed. With no visible changes, Karyn rushes over to her nightstand. Picking up the phone, she dials Jon's number. Only to hear it ring without answer.
"There is no way he could be home yet."
Karyn sits on her bed slightly nervous. Unsure of what to do. Trying to decide if shaving might be a temp answer to her problem. Sitting there, she reaches up to wipe her brow from nerves. Only to shiver slightly as her sweaters sleave scratches against the small hairy stubble that is slowly growing on her brow.
