"I wish that Zoe could change my physical traits, appearance, and clothes at will for the next month, except that this is a month on the planet Mars, where the moons move very fast and the months are very short."
"What?"
"A month is based on the moon, more or less. That's what the word 'month' means. And you can change a wish if you reinterpret it."
"Really? So how long is that for, then?"
"I don't know, I just heard that the moons on Mars are fast... Hmm, I wish I knew what that last wish did... okay, one moon takes 7 1/2 hours, which already expired, so it used the other one. That's 30 hours. Zoe made the wish last night, so we have until around midnight today."
"Zoe could do a lot of stuff to you before then."
"Yeah, but I don't know what else to do. At least it'll be over soon."
"Jessica," said Jon's mother's voice. "Karyn too. Breakfast is ready! Come on down."
