Back on the ship, Jon was feeling the walls for some kind of hidden passage, which he assumed was the way to get out.
After a few seconds of feeling the walls, a panel appeared. Jon touched it and an opening appeared through the wall. He stepped through it and into a wide hallway. When he looked back, he saw the opening disappear, leaving just the wall. The edges of the previous opening weren't even noticable.
Now that Jon was free from that room, he had to figure out how to destroy the ship.
