"What's wrong?"
"I'll tell you what's wrong. It's Kyla Leeson. Somehow that bitch recovered from my potion way too fast."
"You did say she'd possibly recover."
"In a week. I said in a week. Not in less than a day! She did something. And I want to know what it was," Sarah said.
"How are you going to do that?" Stephanie asked.
"I'm gonna march right over to that bitch's house and make her tell me."
Stephanie and Sabrina looked at each other uneasily. They were about to stop Sarah from going, but when they turned to her, she was gone. In the distance, they saw her briskly walking in the direction of Kyla's house. Sarah made up her mind. When Sarah McMillan made up her mind, there was no stopping her.
Sarah walked up the steps to Kyla's house. She was going to break in through a window, but then noticed that one of them was open. She lifted it further and climbed in. She looked around Kyla's living room, wondering where Kyla could be. But then she heard giggling.
That must be her, Sarah thought. She followed the voice up the stairs and to an open door that had light spilling through it. That's it, Sarah thought, with a smile. Soon, she'd get her answers. But before she made it to the door, time froze.
"Jay, I just wanted to tell you that I've had a lot of fun with you today."
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I've had fun too."
Karyn reached out and touched Jay's hand. "I was hoping that we could become more than just friends." Karyn knew the feelings that geek Karyn had for Jay. But geek Karyn was too shy. So, Karyn thought that she'd give a boost of confidence.
"Really?" Jay said. He was surprised, but not displeased.
"Yeah. I was wondering if maybe we could be ..." Time froze.
"Jon, I am so going to beat you," Zoe said, laughing.
"Not if I can help it."
It was nice to have Zoe as a friend. But it was even nicer that she had the same interests as Jon. It might have had something to do with the fact that she lived with Jon. She spent so much more time with him than any other girl, so no wonder they had the same tastes.
Jon really was trying to win, but Zoe was so much better. It looked as if she was about to win the video game, when time froze.
"The party will be starting in another hour," Kyla said, looking at herself in the mirror, admiring her sexy body.
"That's enough time," Biff said, sitting on the bed with his shirt off.
Kyla smiled. And then time froze.
