Jon sat in the classroom, waiting for the other students to walk in. Sarah walked in and waved. This Sarah was so cheery. It was really nice.
Karyn and Kyla never showed up. Someone asked Mr. Wilson if he knew what was happening. He said that Karyn and Biff were taken to the hospital. And Kyla was in the principal's office being questioned by the police.
Jon thought this whole situation was ludicrous. As her normal Goth self, Zoe would never go this far. And it didn't seem like she had a big problem with the original Sarah.
But then Jon thought about the age difference. Jon, Karyn, Sarah, Biff, and Kyla were all Juniors. Zoe was a Freshman. A two-year difference. Perhaps that had an effect on the situation. Maybe the fact that Kyla was two years older than Zoe meant that there were two more years full of teasing and put-downs that Zoe hadn't had yet.
There were a lot of factors involved. And this was the outcome: Karyn in the hospital and Kyla being questioned by police.
The class went on fairly normally and when it was over, the school day was over as well.
