They went shopping a little more, then went to the food court to get some hot dogs. Jon was having so much fun with his sister that he had totally forgotten about the 6 PM "deadline".
After they got done eating, they wandered around the mall a little more. That's when they met up with Kyla Leeson and her two friends Tiffany and Melissa.
"Well, well. Look what we have here," Kyla said.
"Kyla, just leave us alone," Zoe said, pulling Jon away.
"Yeah, that's right. Run away, you losers," she teased. Her friends broke out in laughter.
Suddenly, everything froze. Then Kyla and Zoe disappeared. A few seconds later, Karyn appeared in Kyla's place, dressed in the same outfit, and having the same make-up and hairstyle. Sarah appeared in place of Zoe, dressed in the same outfit.
At that same moment, unknown to Jon, Sarah the Goth had been just entering a gothic shop called The Occult Stop (which is where she bought her skull). When the clock hit 6 PM, time froze, Sarah disappeared, being replaced by Kyla Leeson, who was now a Goth girl. When time resumed, she approached the counter and picked up an item that was being held for her.
And at Karyn's house, the geek Karyn disappeared and her room morphed into the type of bedroom for a ditzy spoiled brat, which she now was. Zoe suddenly appeared in her own room, which looked very geeky now. Lots of sci-fi posters and comic books.
After Karyn and Sarah appeared, time resumed.
"Come on, Jon," Sarah said, pulling him away. "Let's get away from this bitch."
They walked away, hearing Karyn throwing insults at them and hearing her two "new" friends Tiffany and Melissa laughing throughout the whole ordeal.
The swap had occured and now there was a whole new 24-hour period to observe the changes.
