Jon did a little wandering around before he went to his first class. School wouldn't officially start for at least 15 minutes, so he had a little time.
For the first ten minutes, he couldn't find Sarah anywhere. After thinking that maybe Sarah skipped school (Zoe did it now and then), he spotted her. She was sitting on the floor in an empty portion of one of the halls, talking with two other Goth girls that Jon actually did recognize. One was Sabrina Johnson. She could be hard to miss, with her bright pink-dyed hair. And the other was Stephanie Wright. Jon thought that Sarah would still be friends with the original Zoe's friends, but he supposed it made sense. Sarah would be friends with people her age.
This "new" Sarah wore a black lace corset and a long worn black skirt. Jon saw black boots with three-inch stacks on her feet and a spiked collar around her neck. Her skin was pale and her hair was dyed black. She had black lipstick, black eyeliner, and black nail polish. And like Sabrina, she also had piercings in her ears and nose. It was so weird to see Sarah McMillan like this.
She looked up at Jon and sneered. "What do you want?"
"Nothing," Jon said, and turned around and went to his class.
That was it. He had seen all of them. Now he'd have to observe them interacting with the rest of the school.
