Jon walked down the hall to Zoe's room and saw that her door was open. That was a first. She always had it shut.
He walked inside and saw Zoe at her computer, surfing the net. She was wearing what Jon would have previously thought to be Karyn's clothes: a green tanktop and flare leg jeans. All of her "goth-ness" was completely gone. Jon also noticed that she had blonde hair and large breasts. He figured that had something to do with Karyn's stupid wish. In this reality, it must have been Zoe that made that wish.
She spun around on her chair as she heard him come in. "Hey Jon, what's up?"
"Oh, um, not much Zoe. What are you up to?"
"Just surfin' the net," she shrugged.
"Ah, okay," he responded. He really didn't know what to say. This was a longer, more civil conversation than he could recall having with Zoe in a long time.
"Jon, I don't know about you, but I can't stop thinking about grandpa's stone."
"Yeah, Zoe?"
"Yeah. I think we should have some fun with it. I mean, I think if we're careful, it shouldn't be a problem."
Jon really just wanted to observe the changes he made, so he told her that he'd go get the stone, but he chose not to tell her his reasons for doing it.
Back in his own room, he picked up the stone and said "I wish ..."
