Jon felt his world ripple around him, as he closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them, he saw that his room had been drastically changed. It was very similar to Zoe's room and he immediately recognized a lot of the posters, skulls, CD's, and old books as pieces of her collection.
His new full-length mirror allowed him to get a better look at himself. He was skinnier and paler than he used to be, and he was wearing an only slightly more masculine version of the clothing Zoe used to wear. He had on black leather boots with a slight heel, a knee-length black ripped skirt, and a fishnet shirt. He also noticed that he had Zoe's piercings - one in each nipple, a tongue stud, a nose ring, and a lip ring, as well as several in each ear. His hair was dyed black, he was wearing black eyeliner and black lipstick, and he wore a spiked collar around his neck.
If all of this surprised him, it didn't show. While he was certainly not used to seeing himself like this, he also found himself thinking that he looked pretty good. He was pretty androgynous and he wondered if he could pass as a girl if he bought a good corset.
"That was a weird fucking thought," Jon said to no one in particular. Then he had another one. He looked up at the nearest poster on his wall, of the shirtless lead singer of Zoe's favorite band. He suddenly found himself staring at the subject of the poster, with a dreamy smile on his face. It took a few more seconds of admiring the guy in the poster before Jon snapped out of it and confirmed that he was now gay.
"Ah shit, I gotta fucking fix this," he said, and then his eyes went wide.
He hadn't noticed it before, but the stone was gone! He'd forgotten about it in the surprise of everything else and hadn't realized it wasn't in his hands. He looked around frantically, trying to find the stone, but to no avail. It didn't appear to be in his room at all.
Then it hit him as he was checking under the bed. The stone must have been in someone else's room, since someone else from his family now had his personality. His grandfather must have given them the stone instead! He wanted that stone back. He sure as shit wasn't going to go through a whole week without it. He'd just go look for it and steal it back.
So, Jon left his bedroom and went to search for the stone.
