Jon was about to slip away when Karyn suddenly opened one of the playhouse windows near him and found him standing right outside it. "Hi, Karyn." It was all he could manage to get out. He was so flustered.
"Who are you?" she asked. "Mommy! Mommy! Help! There's a ..."
"Shhh," Jon said, trying to quiet Karyn down. Why was she acting like this? How could she not know who he was?
But then it occurred to him. She didn't have the wish-enhanced breasts and hair, meaning he never showed the stone to her, meaning they probably weren't friends, meaning he better get out of there before Karyn's parents showed up!
