Immediately after the wish was granted, the heavy metal music blasting from Zoe's room just stopped. There was only silence.
Jon put the stone in his pocket and went to visit Zoe.
Zoe's room had changed drastically. Posters of heavy metal bands were replaced with sports posters. Skulls and other gothic objects were replaced with plaques and medals, mostly for first place.
On her TV, there was an exercise program on. The sound was loud enough that Jon could hear the music being played on it, but it wasn't blasting.
He walked through the door and saw Zoe. She was lifting weights in the corner of her room. Apparently, Zoe's bookcase (that held her gothic books and such) and her computer had been changed into an exercise area.
Zoe put down the weights and got up.
She didn't even resemble the Goth sister that he had been so used to. Her dark make-up and piercings were totally gone. Instead, she had her natural light brown hair. Also, her nails were no longer covered in black polish. In fact, she had no polish on them at all. Her usual black corset and worn skirt had been replaced by a white tank-top and a pair of pink spandex shorts.
And she was muscular. Not a body builder, but definitely an athlete of some kind.
"Hey, Jon. What's up?" she said.
