After another hour, Jon had finally finished his homework. Now it was time to satisfy his curiosity. How could his family function with his mom acting like a little kid and his little brother acting like the mother of the house? According to Zoe, his mom had always been that way. But that was as far back as she could remember. She obviously wasn't around when their parents got married, so did something happen between then and Zoe's first memories that changed his mother's behavior?
He just couldn't wait for the answer. He had to know now. So, he made a wish.
"I wish to know why my mother and brother act the way they do, the way they are justified in this reality," he added at the end. He didn't want to get an answer like 'because you wished them to be'.
The stone glowed, granting his wish.
