A brisk wind blew past Jon and he was forced to close his eyes. When he opened them, he saw that his bedroom had changed, but not too much.
All of his PS2 and Gamecube games had been replaced by DVD's of sci-fi movies and TV shows. There were also sci-fi novels, although not as many as there were DVD's. And his band posters were replaced by comic book posters.
He looked in his mirror. His room hadn't changed too much, but he had. He was considerably more chubby than before, probably at least 50 pounds heavier. He wore thick-framed glasses and apparently had an acne problem. The weird thing was that he didn't mind looking like that.
Another thing he noticed that was different was some of the photos of him and Karyn. He was still in the photos, but Karyn wasn't. Instead, there was a different girl. Jon had seen her around the school a few times. He thought of what her name was and came up with Kyla Leeson. He remembered that she had small breasts and brown hair. But in the photos, she had large breasts and blonde hair. It took Jon a moment to figure out that the Karyn that existed in this new reality had never been his friend. And this Kyla girl had been his friend. In this reality, Kyla was the one that accidentally wished for bigger breasts and blonde hair, not Karyn.
He thought about this new version of Kyla and laughed. It was a little funny, that she could change so much just because Jon changed himself. But, after he laughed, he put his hand over his mouth. He made a snorting sound. Was that how he laughed now?
He really was a nerd.
