Jon closed his eyes, as a wind blew past him. He knew that something had changed. He opened his eyes and saw that his room looked considerably different.
His room resembled more of an office than a bedroom, besides the fact that there was a bed. His video games were gone, replaced with books. There were a lot of books. It almost seemed as though Jon had his own private library.
And his room was very clean and orderly.
He looked in the mirror and saw that he was wearing what his dad usually wore to work: white shirt, tie, and beige slacks. He even wore dress shoes.
I didn't wear this to school, did I? Jon thought to himself. He didn't want to be considered a nerd or something.
He checked his watch. "I better get my homework done," he said out loud. And then he wondered why he said that. Jon never did his homework right when he got home. This must have been his father's personality. His dad was a workaholic. He had to get things done. And now it seemed that Jon had to also.
