When Jon entered the waiting room, he stopped. There were people here. Lots of people. Some of them were even people from school.
"Jon, are you okay?" Karyn asked, walking up to him.
"What the fuck do you think?" Jon spat at her. Was she always this stupid?
"I guess not," Karyn said.
"Don't mind him," Zoe said, walking into the waiting room behind her brother. "Ever since the swap, he's been acting a lot like me."
"And how are you acting?" Karyn asked her.
"A lot more normal, that's for sure." Zoe paused to look at Karyn. "I know we haven't ever been on good terms with each other, but I was thinking maybe we could ... I don't know ... go hang out or something after all this?"
"Uh ... sure. Okay," Karyn said. She knew that the point of this experiment was that two subjects would swap personalities, so she knew that Zoe now had Jon's personality, but it was still weird hearing Zoe talk like that. She was actually friendly. Jon, on the other hand, was now nothing of the sort. He was just like Zoe used to be.
"Who the fuck are all these people?" Jon asked. "What are they doing here?"
"They're here for the experiment," the doctor said, walking into the waiting room. He looked down at a sheet of paper on a clipboard. "Okay, next up we have numbers nineteen and seven. Please raise your hands."
