There was only one thing Jon could do and that was search for the stone. It had to be in the vicinity of where he dropped it, so it shouldn't have been that large of a search.
So, he crawled around on the floor, trying to move around the Goths who were either dancing or just walking around, and tried his best to find the stone ... before someone else did.
About a minute into his search, he almost gave up when someone stomped their boot onto his hand, causing him to yell out in pain and frustration. But a few seconds later, he spotted the stone. He crawled towards it and grabbed it. Then he stood up ... right next his mom's table.
He wouldn't have been noticed, though, if he hadn't blurted out "Mom!" Apparently, it was enough to reverse his "undetectable wish", and suddenly all the Goths around him noticed him.
They all glared at him, probably wondering why someone like Jon was in their club.
"Jon! What the fuck are you doing here?" his mom yelled.
"You know this guy?" her apparent boyfriend asked.
His mom's lip curled in disgust, then said "He's my son."
