Wanting to check out the effects of his wish, Jon stowed the rock away in it's hiding box under his bed and stepped out of his room. He heard the same loud Industrial/Metal music he had heard earlier, but this time it was coming from down the hall, from his mom's room.

He opened the door a crack and peeked in, and was surprised to see his parents' bedroom at drastically changed. All of his mom's things, her perfume, her jewlery, her dressers, her mirror, even the framed poster of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" they had on the wall had changed. They had been replaced by Goth supplies, similar to the ones Jon had seen in Zoe's room on occasion. The Van Gogh had become a Bacon. The clothing black and kinky. The dressers dark and covered with candles and faux-arcane memorabilia.

His mom didn't seem to notice him as she sat at her computer (which Jon was guessing had previously been in Zoe's room) and browsed MySpace profiles. Her clothing made for a jarring sight. She was dressed in a black leather corset and torn skirt that ran down to her ankles. She was wearing patent leather victim boots and ripped fishnet stockings. Her makeup and nails had become black, and her skin was pale like Zoe's, and her hair was dyed as well. Unlike Zoe however, Jon could see that she had at least one tattoo, spaying a sharp black tribal design on her back just above the end of the corset.

Suddenly feeling him out, Jon's mom twisted in her chair and spun around, glaring at Jon. "What do you want, twerp?" she said, sounding annoyed.

Taken slightly aback by his mother's change in nature, Jon stammered for a bit. "Um, I uh... mom, I... well, I was just wondering what was for dinner um, tonight." He winced slightly, expecting his mom to explode at him. Zoe could get pretty volatile.

Instead, his mom just rolled her eyes and curled her lip as she said "Don't be an idiot Jon. You know your sister handles all that mundane housewife shit."

"Oh, um. Yeah, right." Jon muttered as he backed out.

"Shut the door on your way out," his mom yelled at him as he stepped back out into the hallway.

Jon was conflicted. While the change was interesting, and he had wanted to see it, he didn't know how he felt about his mom seeming to not well, love him like she used to. It was definitely a strange experience and he was pretty sure that he wouldn't want this particular wish to hang around any longer than a week.

But in the meantime, he'd have to check on his sister. She wasn't in her room, so maybe she was downstairs...
