But before she could, Stephanie stood up and complained loudly, "Oh, why didn't I wear a bra today? I hate how this shirt's rubbing against my boobs! So uncomfortable " This got everyone in the class laughing, and as the remaining "boys" laughed, they changed even further.
The teacher was not as amused, "Stephanie, no. Bad girl! Sit!" Mr. Thompson said, pointing to the chair as if talking to a misbehaving dog. Apparently, he still had the same sense of humor, and Karyn's wish didn't have any effect on adults. Embarrassed, and slightly angry, Stephanie cooperated without another word, and Thompson got started with his lesson.
Karyn put the rock back in her pocket. You know what? No, Karyn thought to herself Forget it, this is way better than wishing they all had girl's clothes. And so, throughout the rest of the day, Karyn noticed that there were fewer and fewer boys, and more girls who wished they had worn a bra to school, and were confused about why they were wearing boy's underwear. She thought it was funny, and even kind of cute to see so many girls dressed as boys, looking uncomfortable in their clothing. Maybe Karyn could wish for their underwear to change later on if she felt like it, that is.
When school was over, Karyn went to her usual spot to meet with Jon, and see what had become of him or her.
