Staring back at him was a pretty young woman—not just pretty, a bombshell. Long blonde hair, obvious breasts, and a soft face...one she had seen, but wasn't sure where. She brought both hands to her new chest and grasped at the strange new curves, trying to process that this was her body now. Jon stopped when he realized the nurse was watching him and scribbling notes on his chart.
"I suppose you'll.. want an explanation?" the nurse asked as Jon pulled a sheet up to cover his new curves.
"Yes, please..." Jon was jarred by her new voice... It was disturbing to speak and have a completely different voice come out of your mouth.
"Well...miss..." The nurse was clearly searching for words. "You were hit by a truck. The EMTs that arrived on the scene were lucky to be able to keep you alive. You've been in a coma for...what, six months now?"
Jon's jaw dropped. "But what does that have to do with me being a woman?"
"You suffered some serious reproductive system damage and likely would have been infertile. Your body took a battering." She sighed, emphasizing the gravity of what Jon had gone through. "Luckily, this hospital has been part of clinical trials for an experimental gene therapy. We told your parents that we had two options," she continued, holding up two fingers. "Either we hold out on you and you live with serious bodily damage for the rest of your life, or we put you into our clinical trial and see what happens."
Jon was unamused. "Wait. My parents did this to me!?" Her voice rose higher than she thought was possible.
"The drugs worked well, though. Really well. You're a fully functioning woman."
"How?"
"Well, we had to build a template based on the eggs of another woman around your age. I think she might actually go to your school. ...McMillan, I think the last name is?" At that moment, Jon realized why she was so hot. She now had a body based on Sarah McMillan!
Jon stared at herself more as the nurse explained. "This treatment should enhance the abilities of existing hormone replacement therapy in transgender individuals, and in your case, it looks to have saved your life." A beep went off from the nurse's cell phone. "Oh, the doctor will be seeing you soon. I suggest you go and put on some clothes from your dresser."
