As Jon thought, his body took over. He put the stone back onto the bed and removed the towel to brush out his hair. He had to hop onto his bed to sit down, but soon got lost in the brushing out his blond hair in long strokes. The repetitive movement gave him time to think.
He could wish to know what was wrong, but there was the chance that nothing was wrong, and the stone just interpreted his wish like this. Or that the stone would make it so nothing was wrong because he had always been like this.
He sat the brush down after pondering that. His hair was still a little wet but there weren't going to be a knot or tangles. He wasn't sure why he did that, or how he knew to do that, but he did.
