Susan Smith has just finished a grueling day of work at the office. As she opened her front door and walked to her bedroom, she wondered if it all of the extra effort was worth. Initially, her work ethic had gotten her in good graces with everyone and she had received a promotion that afforded her a modest house and a car, but now it felt like her life was stuck in autopilot. Her demanding schedule seemed to be to much for the guys she dated. She caught her last boyfriend cheating on her after she surprised him at his apartment. Still, she knew there was someone out there for her. Her mother and father had the perfect marriage and raised her with the same values. She sighed and though, "One day."

Susan stripped off her work clothes and slipped on her jogging clothes. Her figure wasn't much. She was basically a stick with a few curves created by having a tone body sculpted by her ritualistic running. He small boyish hips and small A cup breasts did not turn heads. Still she was quite happy with herself as it suited her small frame. Using a band, she tied her mousy brown hair into a pony tail and started her normal route.

About a hour later, Susan was approaching the last leg of her run, she noticed something glittering on the sidewalk. She picked it up and examined it closely noticing the intricate detail in the ring. She couldn't place the style of ring, but something about it made her like it. She looked around to see if there was anyone around who might of dropped it.

"Well, I don't see anyone and it's getting late. I'll just take it home with me and find out later," Susan thought. She didn't think it anyone would though since it looked like it was only made of bronze and not some expensive metal like gold. Curious, she wondered if it would fit her. She slipped the ring on her index finger.

"A perfect fit!" she mused, "It feels really comfortable. I'll just wear it until I get back and I can wash it off." After another 10 minutes she was back home. Stripping out of her sweaty clothes, she jump into the shower and cleaned herself. After a quick shower, she made a small salad for dinner. Satisfied and full, she grabbed a book off the shelf that she wanted to read again. As she turned the first page, she notice that she was still wearing the ring. She was about to pull it off and put it on her nightstand, but something was gnawing at her to keep it on.

"Maybe I should keep it. If it was important, they wouldn't have been so careless to drop it," Susan justified. She continued to read a few more chapters before her day caught up to her. She yawned, put down the book, turned off the lights, and went to sleep.
