Well, there was always an android. Except those weren't real. But any children should have some of his traits and some of the traits of the other parent, no matter what it was, right? So if he used a computer, the result should be something with human and computer traits.
Except he had no way of picking the traits. Picking traits like "human shaped" and "made of electronics" would result in an android. But he could equally well get a human baby with a metal rectangular head, since the computer case was metal and rectangular.
"I wish that if the user of this ring has a particular kind of result in mind, and the ring can satisfy it, he'll get it."
Then he touched his semen to the computer, keeping the idea of an android in mind. He pulled back his finger and it was dry and clean--the semen had been absorbed, and Jon had just made an inanimate object pregnant. Now all he had to do was wait. It would probably be at least the next morning, and so Jon went to bed wondering what he had just done.
