Since Jon had wished for the Role Swapping device, he had no idea of it's effects, especially now that it went beserk and exploded on them.
When the device overloaded it created an invisible shockwave of background radiation that covered the entire neighborhood.
Since Zoe and her friends were closest to the epicenter of the blast along with Jon and Karyn, she became one of it's first victim of many more to come.
However only Jon and Karyn seemed to notice the red glow that surrounded Zoe's body, it pulsed brighter and brighter and a arc of what seemed like red lightning reached out from it and struck a little eight year old girl playing with dolls in her front yard. It engulfed them both and they seemed to warp and stretch while the red glow grew to a blinding flash that dazed Jon and Karyn's vision.
When they re-opened their eyes they were shocked at what they saw. Zoe had been swapped with that of the eight year old girl. The new Zoe before them still wore her same old clothes, piercings and even the tatoo on her arm was still there, but now had the body of an 8 year old girl. It was an odd sight for such a young body to now look downright trashy in the same revealing goth clothes that Zoe was wearing before.
Looking to where the young girl was playing before he now saw Zoe's old body happily playing in the yard across the street wearing an large hello kitty shirt stretched way to tightly across her chest, leading to long frilly pink and whit skirt, pink stockings and purple ballet shoes with frilly bows at the end blissfully playing with a pair of Barbie dolls.
"Well? what was that you were messing with...it looks busted" Jon was shocked to hear Zoes old voice come from between the little goth girls lips.
"Zoe? Is that....you?....you're so.....tiny!" Jon said.
Zoe's cute little girls face contorted into a very mean looking frown, and she spat a curse out and quickly stomped away into their house, but not before flipping Jon off with her dainty little girl hands.
Zelda stormed up to Jon and quickly and fiercely slapped him upside the face.
"How DARE YOU! of all of the hardships your sister has to face and you just casually make fun of her condition...You're such a freaking jackass Jon" Zelda berated him, while Athena just shook her head in disgust.
"You of all people should know she hates being talked down upon, She cant help how she was born, I thought you were better than that Jon" Athena icily retorted and pushed passed him to follow Zelda and Zoe inside their house.
Jon and Karyn just stared in shock at what just occurred. They looked over at Zoe's old body playing in their neighbors front yard, the little girls mother called for her to come inside for lunch. It was such a bizarre sight to see Zoe's body dressed like that of a eight year old girl and watch as it skipped happily into their neighbors house.
"Jon this is freaking weird, we've gotta find a way to fix this device and undo what's happened" Karyn was freaking out.
"I...uhh...Yeah" Jon was still a bit shocked at Zeldas slap, rubbing his cheek while trying to process all this new information.
"I think...nobody sees anything wrong with the swaps...to Zoe's friends it's like she's always been that way, and...she's very sensitive about her new...old condition" Jon concluded.
"Well...at least nobody will start panicking when this happens at random, we gotta fix this fast though." Karyn rambled and then Gasped loudly while staring at Jon in horror.
"What's wrong?" Jon asked, looking at Karyn's horrified expression...she just stared with her her hands over her mouth and shaking her hand.
Suddenly his entire vision was overtaken by a bright red flash.
